PostSubject: Star Empire on plagiarism accusations on Jewelry ‘One More Time’   Sat Aug 22, 2009 6:14 am

Jewelry’s company Star Empire Media said about accusations of plagiarism to the group’s previous hit ‘One More Time’, “The margin for plagiarism is not even drawn clearly in the first place, we don’t know why such talks about plagiarism arose.”

Even though the lyricist to song ‘One More Time’ was said to be Lee MinWoo, there has been reports that the song is also registered under the names of 2 foreigners Marco and Carls under Korea’s Music Copyright Association.

With that Star Empire said, “When we were registering for the song ‘One More Time’ back then, we also recorded the names of the original composers from overseas. When we did Korean lyrics to ‘One More Time’, we have paid him for the lyrics writing, we also have given up on the copyrights to the song. It is not true that we have changed the names to the original composers of the song.”

They continued, “We have stated Lee MinWoo’s name in the album because he writes the Korean lyrics to thesong, but we did not change the original composer name to Lee MinWoo’s from the start at all.”

Star Empire added in the end, “It is ridiculous to say that we changed the names to the original composer for our own benefits.”
