how about we add a mini box in the right hand corner of the home page?
in the box they'll be links to:
top 5 posters today. then they'll be a link to the 5 people's name and how many times they posted today.
top 5 posters this week. link to the 5 people's name and how many times they posted this week.
top 5 posters this month. link to the 5 people's name and how many times they posted this month.
top 5 posters this year. link to the 5 people's name and how many times they posted this month.

by the end of the month or year we can reward the top 3 with their very own avatar/banner/poster ^o^
