Hong Kong - Edison Chen has returned to Hong Kong quietly for his fashion business, after having stayed away for a year in the wake of a sex photo scandal, says Oriental Daily News.
The Chinese Canadian actor arrived in Hong Kong on Wednesday and will stay for a few days for business meetings, the newspaper said.
The 28-year-old, who received two death threats in March, informed the Hong Kong police about his return.
In Hong Kong, he has a clothing company, Clot, with his business partners, including his godbrother Kevin Poon. His assistant was quoted as saying on Wednesday: 'Edison met Clot employees this afternoon. He seemed to be in good spirits and happy.'
It was his first time back in Hong Kong after he announced in February last year that he would bow out of the city's entertainment industry indefinitely.
In February this year, he refused to return to Hong Kong for the court case over the photos and the chief magistrate had to fly to Vancouver to hear his testimony.
Earlier this month, computer technician Sze Ho Chun was jailed 8 1/2 months for stealing Chen's photos.
